More About Jeff

Rural Roots

Jeff was born and raised in a small town in rural Pennsylvania where he learned the basics of home building and repair, carpentry, and woodworking.  Prior to moving to the Virgin Islands, Jeff and his family lived north of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in a log home on 10 acres of land.

Military Career

Jeff joined the U.S. Air Force after graduating high school in 1993.  During his 11 years of service, he earned numerous degrees in Audio-Visual Production Services and received the Communications Specialist of the Year award in 1999.  After leaving the service, Jeff earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife Management from the Pennsylvania State University.

Law Enforcement Career

For the next nine years, Jeff served as a Park Ranger in Pennsylvania, having graduated second in his class from the Law Enforcement Academy of Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  He was awarded the Team Excellence Award in 2012 for various search and rescue operations conducted at his parks.

Jeff met his wife, Jessica Tully, in 2009.  They married in 2011 and their two sons, Oliver and Alexander, were born in 2012 and 2013.  With two small boys at home, Jeff decided to leave law enforcement in 2014.

Move to the Virgin Islands

Jeff and his family moved to St. Thomas in 2016.  They packed what they could fit into a shipping container, sold everything else, and moved on to the next chapter of their lives in the Caribbean.
